Welcome to Hamilton Gun Club, the oldest continuous operating major trapshooting club in the world! We have a beautiful history and a long standing tradition of preserving and promoting the sport of clay shooting in Ontario.

 

We are located in beautiful Stoney Creek, ON, at the intersection of Regional Road 20 (Highway 20) and 5th Line. For complete directions including the GPS location and an interactive map click here.

The club is open to members as well as to the public. Our hours of operation are Wednesday: 12 PM (noon) to dusk, Saturday 10 AM to dusk and Sunday: 10 AM-5 PM.Hamilton Gun Club provides clay shooting enthusiasts, beginners and serious competitors alike, with the perfect environment to enjoy this amazing sport.

Twelve new PAT TRAP automatic machines with wireless releases, numerous skeet fields, a sporting clay course, a brand new five stand range to perfect you shooting skills are all available to members and guests. After a fun round of clays, take the time to relax and enjoy our cozy clubhouse, meet our vibrant community and give our full kitchen a try.

For those new to the shooting sports, our resident trapshooting coach, double certified Level 2 ATA and NRA, can assist with professional instruction to ensure a safe, enjoyable introduction into the sport. See membership area for more details on how to take advantage of free training.

We invite you to come out and try trap, skeet, our new five stand and the sporting clay course, meet our friendly community and helpful staff and enjoy the outdoors.

Five Stand Complete - Thursday, April 16, 2009

We are happy to announce the completion of our brand new, beautiful Five Stand Range. Thank you Denny Leger of P.A.C. Contracting, Don Calvank of Home Life Realty under the coordination of Rick Ciarolo HGC Board of Directors for making this happen. Come out and try it, see what everybody is raving about! Systems Test Completed - Friday, April 10, 2009

Today we completed the first live pre-production run of our new computer system. The result was excellent, with 75% of all our shooters being successfully processed. There was only one technical glitch we have to correct re: data integrity / data validation. We will also improve on the process flow on our next run.

Thank you Al Byrnes, Donna and the staff at Hamilton Gun Club for your effort and thanks to all shooters who came to shoot on Good Friday for their patience and support! We are working hard to make Hamilton Gun Club the best range in the Province!

 
The new computer system is now complete - Wednesday, April 01, 2009

The new computerized backend system is now in place. A network of computers will allow Hamilton Gun Club to more efficiently manage and run the registered shoots and will provide shooters with a live scoreboard, live trap assignments and squadding information.

Yes some more good news - we were able to secure the HamiltonGunClub.com domain in addition to Hamiltongunclub.net and Hamiltongunclub.org. This completes this phase of our effort to enhance and preserve the brand of our club as we enter into the third centrury of our existance.
